I can be, if it is necessary.

It all depends on the reasons and necessity.

Are you a good judge of character?

Hiring someone for a top-job on managerial levels: definitely.

Might not workout after all though. Happened to me just once… and the nice chap, and with good credentials, did not get a permanent position after a 6-month trial period.

However:

Privately: family = family, their characters you know because you know.

Privately: friends, acquaintances: you either have them, putting up with their peculiarities or: you discontinue, finally having JUDGED their character incompatible with your CHARACTER.

Note: Being judgemental is NOT equal to being ‘a judge of character’.

And: it can happen someone wants to be *friends*…. watch out!!

When that occurs: do not feel flattered 🥰, but deal with it in a businesslike  fashion. Be realistic.

No judge of character necessary there: just common sense: what do we have in common, do I like the way this unknown character looks, dresses, behaves, talks.

Choosing wisely….helps to avoid disappointments and wasting your time and input.

Note: never say never can happen too.

😇🤑🥳
