Back in the day, hindsight..

Describe something you learned in high school.

A good decent teacher is very very important.

Adding: In The Netherlands, I attended highschool in the early/middle 1950’s 🤓🙏 my teen years.

I went through highschool without even thinking, just one’s normal part of life, preparing for the next steps: either getting a job, or on to more educations.

So I learned about myself IN highschool, but afterwards: A LOT depends on THE TEACHER, and his/her mental attitude/behaviour.

Not even his/her quality of knowledge.

No. Some teachers have the gift to *be nice*, motivational, decent, and I as a student automatically loved his/her classes.

We had one, teaching history, he was a great story-teller, one full hour. You could hear a penny drop.

We had one, an nasty grouch, also sneaky: he taught geography. He had the unpleasant habit: next lesson: will be a test, topic given, then we prepared ourselves, and then: all of us *ready*: he came in: haha, *no test today*.

Note: the latter: as a kid: you feel angry, upset demoralized, but back in the day, none of us youngsters got up, or took it to the headmaster, making a case of it.

The man should never have been a teacher, pestering kids.

So: What I learned in highschool: having a great, fair, decent, teacher is very very important.💞🌞
