What is an EXTRA-PARLIAMENTIARY CABINET?? Good question, so I checked it (too).
Last night I watched a DUTCH TV show, where that was the topic of discussion, with me catching up with: how the formation of a new cabinet was going, since the the DUTCH voters voted: OCTOBER 2023!!!
The ultra RIGHT party P.V.V. leader Mr. Geert Wilders, won with a major landslide, but not enough to be able to rule alone, and then: talks do start with other political parties to form a COALITION Cabinet.
And: that fell through, this week!! After: nearly FIVE months haggling!! between P.V.V.’s Wilders and THREE more (*leaders*) of other political Dutch parties.
I’ll spare you the names & details, 🇳🇱 whatever went on DAILY these last nearly 5 months, all that: POLITICAL and leader EGO-based. Or: The Netherlands is a DEMOCRATICAL country, and votes *democratically* 😁🙈🙉🙊
Meanwhile: of course The Netherlands needs to be *governed TEMPORARILY*, and: heyho: some really smart Dutch BUSINESS folks HAVE BEEN HIRED!! from the Dutch business community, to bridge during the current unfavorable situation, until for the moment, apparently: mid April 2024.
AN EXTRA PARLIAMENTARY/ BUSINESS CABINET: is NOT a new phenomenon. The Dutch Basic Constitutional Laws have included this, in case…. but it has not happened for a while!!🤣
Most people now NEVER had that experience. So: AN EXTRA PARLIAMENTARY CABINET: the very most discussed/used phrase in THE NETHERLANDS 🇳🇱 at the moment.
A BUSINESS CABINET: where hopefully decisions can be taken WITHOUT DEMOCRATIC endless political *gewauwel* (the word roughly means: a combination of: verbal diarrhea, horse-s**t, rubbish, wasting the tax-payers money ATTITUDE!!)

I am Dutch, I live abroad and I am watching BVN, the DUTCH/BELGIAN global TV channel, again, daily….to STAY UP-TO-DATE. Why?? This is such an unusual development, and I cannot remember ever being part of such an EVENT, earlier during my entire life.🥰☺. In those days: either not yet TV, nor as we have now: online TV, PCs, Tablets, mobiles.
INTERESTING, EDUCATIONAL, and *new*!
And what is going on in THE NETHERLANDS 🇳🇱 🇳🇱 , the INTERNATIONAL PRESS!! ❤ 😍 *loves too*.
Business…such as building decent affordable houses & appartments: about 500.000 are needed was estimated: for all those *new* arrivals, ie former refugees from devasted areas, would be my #1 urgency to GET DONE.
And: establishing a huge INTEGRATION programme for these new Dutch citizens: learning the DUTCH language, the Dutch Constitutional BASIC LAWS, schools for MOMS & DADS, to learn how to become and behave as a Dutch citizen, understand Dutch religions, culture, habits, and traditions.
Okay, enough text, from just one Dutch citizen, with feelings and her own opinions, ideas.
The outcome is not in my hands, eh? But definitely for me: worth following!!
